Electrical: battery replacement, alternator output testing, OBD2 fault code reading and clearing, oxygen sensor replacement, MAF sensor cleaning or replacement, fuse replacement, horn and light repair, window motor and regulator repair. Brakes: pad replacement (all four corners), drum shoe replacement, brake fluid flush and bleed, calliper cleaning and lubrication. Suspension: shock absorber replacement (front and rear), strut mount replacement, ball joint inspection, wheel bearing check (rotation test), tyre rotation and pressure setting. AC: refrigerant recharge, cabin filter replacement, condenser cleaning. Clutch (manual cars): cable adjustment and replacement, clutch master/slave cylinder replacement, and on many cars, even clutch plate replacement with the right lift equipment. Suspension repairs are among the most impactful jobs our doorstep mechanics perform — and among the most commonly deferred by Indian drivers who attribute rough rides to road quality rather than suspension wear. Front shock absorber (strut) replacement: Struts on cars like Hyundai Creta, Maruti Swift, Honda City, and Tata Nexon can be replaced at your doorstep in 2–3 hours. The mechanic uses a hydraulic jack and stands to safely raise the car, removes the strut assembly, fits the new strut, and lowers the car. Post-replacement alignment check is recommended at a wheel alignment centre (not a doorstep procedure). Rear shock absorber replacement: Simpler than fronts on most Indian cars with independent rear suspension — typically 1.5–2 hours for both sides. Strut mounts / top mounts: These rubber and metal components at the top of the front strut fail silently — the symptoms are a clunking sound over bumps and a vague, wandering steering feel. Replacement is done as part of the strut service. Suspension bushings: Rubber bushings at control arm mounting points degrade with age and Bengaluru's pothole impacts. Engine overheating is one of the most serious and expensive failures an Indian car owner can face — a severely overheated engine warps the cylinder head, blows the head gasket, and can seize pistons. The cooling system maintains engine temperature through a closed loop of coolant circulating between the engine block and the radiator. Common cooling system failures in Indian cars: Coolant leaks — from hoses, the radiator itself, the water pump, or the thermostat housing. A sweet smell in or around the car, or visible puddles of green or pink fluid under the car, indicate a coolant leak. Thermostat failure — a thermostat stuck closed prevents coolant from flowing to the radiator, causing rapid overheating. A thermostat stuck open causes the engine to never fully warm up — poor fuel economy and heater performance result. Radiator blockage — minerals from hard water (common in Bengaluru) block radiator tubes over years of service. Water pump failure — the water pump impeller circulates coolant. A worn or failed pump results in insufficient flow and overheating. Coolant flush and refill (replacing old coolant with fresh fluid) is a 45–60 minute doorstep job recommended every 40,000–60,000 km. Using distilled water and correct ratio coolant prevents the mineral deposits that cause radiator blockage.

The clutch is one of the most used mechanical components in any manual transmission car — in heavy Bengaluru and Chennai traffic, the clutch may be engaged and disengaged thousands of times per day. Clutch plate wear is progressive — as the friction material on the clutch disc wears away, the clutch starts to slip (engine revs but the car doesn't accelerate proportionally). By the time drivers notice slipping, the clutch is often near end-of-life. Clutch replacement is a substantial mechanical job — the gearbox must be lowered or removed to access the clutch assembly. On most front-wheel-drive Indian cars (Maruti Swift, Hyundai i20, Honda City, Tata Nexon), this is achievable at your doorstep with proper equipment — our mechanics use transmission jacks and the correct tools to do this safely in 4–6 hours. Clutch cable adjustment (for cable-operated clutches on older cars): a simple, inexpensive job that restores correct clutch pedal free play and engagement point — often done as part of a regular service. Hydraulic clutch master cylinder bleeding: if the clutch pedal feels spongy or the engagement point shifts toward the floor, bleeding the hydraulic system restores proper feel — a 30–45 minute doorstep job.

Car electrical failures beyond simple battery issues are often misdiagnosed and over-priced at local garages. The charging system (alternator + battery + wiring) is the most common source of electrical repair work our mobile mechanics perform. Alternator failure: the alternator charges the battery while the engine runs. A failing alternator causes progressive battery drain — the battery discharges faster than it can be recharged, eventually leaving the car dead. Symptoms: battery warning light on dashboard, dimming headlights at idle, radio or infotainment display flickering. Wiring short circuits and connector failures: corrosion at connector blocks, chafed wiring, and blown fuses cause a wide range of electrical symptoms.
